RatMotion

Overview

RatMotion is a rhythm device. Take a pad, a chord, a bass note, a vocal or a whole loop and give it motion that repeats sample-exactly every bar: a tremolo that breathes, a gate that chops, a pump that ducks under an imaginary kick, a pan that walks the stereo field, a filter that talks, a stutter that repeats the last slice. Four lanes share one clock derived from the host's song position, so loops stay locked and nothing drifts. Each lane runs an LFO wave (sine, triangle, saws, square, pump, sample-and-hold, random smooth, with morph, skew and width) or a step pattern of up to 32 steps drawn straight onto the scope. Swing warps everything, including the LFO waves. Smooth sets how hard the edges are, from a 0.5 ms gate to a 500 ms swell. The Volume lane has a harmonic tremolo mode that wobbles the lows and highs out of phase like a brownface amp. Every one of the 200 controls is automatable, step levels included. The Scope shows the curves with a beam at the current beat and the afterglow of what the audio actually did. Twenty-two presets, zero latency.
