Computerizer

Overview

Computerizer is a one-knob digital effect for making normal sounds feel broken, old, robotic, or straight-up corrupted. Under the hood it runs drive, bitcrushing, sample-rate reduction, ring modulation, formant filtering, clocked stutter, and a resonant sweep filter. You do not have to patch any of that manually — pick a flavor and turn Amount, or stack up to three flavors at once and they run as parallel chains all riding the same knob. Some settings are subtle and dusty, some are modem/robot/chiptune territory, some fully chew the sound apart — and five of the fifteen are transition tools (risers, dives, strobes) that start at true bypass so one knob ramp is the whole build. Auto-gain and a safety limiter keep it useful so the knob feels like character, not just volume.
