Lazy Laser
Pews, zaps, blasters, laser harps and risers from seven knobs, in time and in key.

Overview
Lazy Laser is easy to use and has a real engine behind it. Seven macros do most of the work, and each one is a single real parameter: Zap sets how far the pitch sweeps, Sweep how long it takes (or sync it to the tempo), Beam morphs the oscillator from sine to triangle, square, saw and hard sync while opening the filter, Chirp sends the sound through a 64-stage allpass disperser for the classic blaster chirp, Echo sets the echo mix and feedback, Spread adds up to seven unison voices with detune and width, and Ratchet retriggers the zap at the host tempo for rolls, with a count and an accelerate or slow-down ramp. Every sweep lands exactly on the note you played. Underneath sit an FM operator, a noise strike, a self-oscillating ping filter (low-pass, band-pass or peak) that follows the sweep, a key-tracked comb and anti-aliased drive, with the oscillator oversampled. The echo can shift pitch on every repeat and ping-pong across the stereo field, followed by a reverb and a 4x clipper. The Style switch (Sustain, Pluck, Combined, Mute, also on keyswitches C-1 to D#-1) re-shapes any preset into a held beam, a pew, a pew falling into a beam or a short muted zap. The Lounge interface has a Beam Room where every note fires a beam that dives with its pitch sweep, repeats for ratchets and echoes, and ripples with Chirp. Twenty-four presets run from Pew Classic, Arcade Blaster and Laser Tom to Bigroom Laser, Laser Harp, Rising Echoes, Downlifter and Disco Pew. Fully synthesised: no sample bank.
