Overview

EightOhEight is made to just be the bass. It starts with a sine-based 808 voice, pitch-envelope thump, legato retrigger for slides, and a click transient so the attack cuts. From there it runs through saturation, a state-variable filter, and a clean amp envelope. The main thing is the Mild→Wild knob: one automatable control that turns up drive, resonance, pitch movement, and level together. So instead of tweaking five things while the beat is running, you can ride one knob from smooth sub to nasty distorted low end.
